Bridge House Receives Second Dose of Covid Vaccine

With an air of anticipation and hope for the year ahead, the second and final dose of the vaccine was administered by our health partners from the local community to excited residents and team members in March.

Speaking of receiving her second immunisation jab, our resident Mary says: “It feels wonderful to have had both my vaccines. I’m feeling good!”

Lifestyle Coordinator, Chantelle adds that: “There was a party atmosphere the day we received our second dose of the vaccine. Everyone felt it was something they really wanted to celebrate! A year on from the start of the pandemic this finally gives everyone back a real sense of hope for the future.”

Similarly reassured, Bridge House’s Home Manager, Lucy Porter, told us: “We are so proud to be part of the national roll-out of the vaccine and play our part in protecting not only our residents and team but also our community here in Abingdon.”

As lockdown restrictions start to ease, we will continue to work in line with national and local guidance regarding the stringent upkeep of our enhanced safety measures that have been in place over the past year. This includes regular testing for team members and residents, high-quality PPE worn at all times by all members of our team, enhanced cleaning schedules, and regular reviews of our approach to ensure we remain at the forefront of the fight against Covid-19.
