OUR CARE

I am full of thanks and admiration to all the Bridge House staff who are working so hard to bring an air of normality and love into the day of those in their care.

A huge heartfelt thank you for the wonderful care and love you are giving to my mum and all the residents. I can’t thank you enough for keeping her spirits lifted with your kindness and love.

My wife has been a resident since 2017. At first, she took part in all the activities, but as her condition deteriorated she was able to participate less. The care staff, led by an excellent nurse, make every effort to enrich her life. Nothing is too much trouble; the staff are well trained, the facilities well designed and I am treated as well as the residents. The care and compassion are constant.

Every effort has been made to welcome my husband. We are impressed that its considered important not only to have a comfortable room but to be near residents with whom he is likely to have common interests. After two weeks of respite, we have asked that my husband's residence is made permanent. No hesitation!

My father originally came in for two weeks respite but very quickly decided this is where he wanted to stay permanently. He loves his room and has filled it with his favourite possessions from home. He says he feels safer now, he is joining in with activities and has a new lease of life. He said 'everyone is kind and looking after me so I will stay here’.

Mum spent the last five years of her long life here. She was extremely well looked after and the staff related well to her. She took part in many activities, as long as she could, and during her last illness she was cared for with sympathy and great kindness.
