Bridge House Receives Gold Standard Framework Accreditation

The home is awarded for providing excellence in end of life care

Bridge House Care Home in Abingdon  has just been awarded a Gold Standard Framework accreditation for end of life care.

The National Gold Standards Framework (GSF) is the leading national provider of quality improvement, accredited and evidence based end of life care training for frontline health and social care staff in the UK.  Their training programme aims to enable staff to provide a gold standard of care for people nearing end of life.  It is now the biggest palliative care training programme for care homes in the UK with accreditation recognised by regulators, the Care Quality Commission.

June Maharaj, manager of Bridge House says: “We are so proud to have been awarded this accreditation.  The compassionate and sensitive handling of end of life care is an integral part of what we do – but it is good to be recognised for this by an organisation such as GSF”. Or something along those lines.
