Bridge House in Abingdon recently  hosted a special event featuring the BBC Antique Roadshow’s Christopher Payne.

The free event  took  place between 5pm and 7pm on Wednesday March 4th.  It was open to the  local community, as well as the residents Bridge House Care Home and their friends and family, a chance to gain some real insights into the pleasures of collecting antiques, as Christopher shares his top tips on collecting.

“I am delighted to be presenting the event ” says Christopher Payne.  “I love to share my passion for antiques, especially furniture, and advise people on what to look out for and how to care for their treasured finds”.

Ahead of the event June Maharaj, Home Manager at Bridge House comments: “We are delighted to have Christopher coming to us for this event.  Many of our members and residents are interested in antiques as I am sure others are from the Abingdon area.  Aside from his talk, anyone who attends will have the opportunity to ask questions about their own collections. And we are serving cheese and wine!  It should be a wonderful evening”.
